Co-Founder & Managing Director

International strategy, geopolitical insight and cross-border institutional engagement

Muad M. Zaki is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of World Trade Chamber Malaysia, contributing a distinctive combination of international relations experience, geopolitical perspective and cross-cultural strategic engagement.

International and Institutional Background

His international experience began at an early stage during a pivotal period of democratic transition in Asia. In his early twenties, he was entrusted with foreign-relations responsibilities across the United Kingdom and Europe, building international understanding and engagement during a period of significant political and institutional change.

He subsequently developed a deliberately non-partisan advisory approach centred on strategic insight, international positioning and constructive institutional dialogue. His experience has included providing perspectives and training to Members of Parliament, ministers and political party officials on foreign policy, economic positioning and international engagement.

A defining feature of his work is the ability to interpret the cultural, political and religious dynamics that influence decision-making across jurisdictions. This perspective supports relationship-building approaches that recognise institutional sensitivities while identifying practical areas of shared interest.

Leadership Perspective

His leadership perspective reflects the understanding that trade, capital and technology increasingly move within a wider geopolitical context. Public policy, regional stability, cultural understanding and trusted institutional relationships often shape whether an international opportunity can develop into a durable partnership.

Malaysia can serve not only as a destination for serious international engagement, but as a trusted strategic platform connecting ASEAN and wider Muslim-majority markets.

Within WTCM, this perspective informs a two-way international mandate: supporting governments, investors and institutions exploring opportunities in Malaysia, while helping Malaysian technologies, government-linked companies and enterprises build credible pathways into international markets.
