Dato Kamil Ahmad Mohd Othman is a distinguished Malaysian creative-industry leader whose career spans strategic policy, digital media, film, intellectual property and institutional development.
He serves as Chairman of the Orange Economy Cluster under MPM, contributing experience and sector leadership to the continued development of Malaysia’s creative economy and its connections with technology, culture and intellectual property.
Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President for Creative Industry Strategy and Policy at the Multimedia Development Corporation, where his work was closely associated with the development of Malaysia’s digital and creative-content ecosystem.
He subsequently served as Director-General and later Chairman of the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS), providing leadership across film-sector development, digital transformation, international engagement and the advancement of Malaysia’s creative industries.
His appointment to World Trade Chamber Malaysia’s International Advisory Board recognises his distinguished contribution to media, creative-economy development and the evolution of internationally connected content industries.
